Stability
Stable. Incompatible with strong acids, strong oxidizing agents.
May discolour on exposure to light. Hygroscopic - protect from moisture. Reacts violently
and unpredictably with some materials, especially strong oxidizing agents.
Toxicology
Laboratory experiments have shown mutagenic effects.
Possible carcinogen.
Severe eye irritant. Harmful by inhalation, ingestion and through skin contact.
